Framingham – Rev. Robert E. Graham, S.M., died Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Saint Patrick's Manor in Framingham. He was 96.
Fr. Graham was born October 29, 1921 in Peabody, a son of the late Hugh and Mary E. (Joyce) Graham. Raised and educated in Peabody he graduated from Peabody High School in 1939. He then began studies at Maryvale Seminary graduating in 1943 and Marist College and Seminary in Framingham where he completed his degree in Theological Studies in 1950 and lastly, Boston College in 1951.
He made is First Profession on September 8, 1944 in Staten Island, New York and was ordained to the Priesthood on February 2, 1950 in Boston.
Assignments for Fr. Graham included Saint Anne Parish in Peabody, Maryvale Seminary, Cathedral High School in Detroit, Michigan, Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods, Michigan, Marist College and Seminary where he served for many years as Chaplain for the Sisters of Saint Joseph in Framingham, Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, Saint Anthony Parish in White River Junction, Vermont, Sacred Heart Parish in Lawrence and Saint Joseph Parish in Haverhill.
He leaves nephews, cousins and his confrères in the Marist Community.
Family and friends will honor and remember Fr. Robert's life by gathering for calling hours on Tuesday, January 23rd from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in The Holy Family Chapel of Saint Patrick Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Haverhill.
