Waltham Mr. Robert J. Bob Hug, of Waltham, died Monday, July 16, 2007 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston. He was 54. Born and raised in Queens, Bob lived in upstate New York for many years before moving to Waltham thirteen years ago. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in Brooklyn, New York and attended Queens College. Bob worked as a computer programming specialist at the Boston office of TriZetto, a medical software engineering company, headquartered in California. An avid cyclist, Bob had been a board member of the Charles River Wheelmen and was currently serving on the Waltham Bicycle Committee. Bob also had a passion for music, computers, and his cactus garden. He leaves his longtime companion, Susan Sue Genser of Waltham; his son, Garrett Roche of Windham, New York; his mother, Margaret T. (Shenton) Hug of Clifton Park, New York; his sister, Dolores Dee Anderson of Delanson, New York and many nieces and nephews. He was also the son of the late John P. Hug and brother of the late Patricia Van Aken. Family and friends are invited to attend a service of remembrance honoring Bobs life at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21 at the Prospect Hill Park Lodge, Totten Pond Road, Waltham. Reception will follow. Dress casual and celebrate the day as Bob would have wanted. Memorial observance (sitting Shiva) will be observed at Bob & Sues home from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday, July 22 through Friday, July 27.
