Mr. Robert G. Kane of Waltham died Sunday, November 21, 2004 in Saint Elizabeths Medical Center, Brighton. He was 86. Born in Waltham, a son of the late George and Catherine (Doyle) Kane, he worked as a printers machinist for many years for the Kane Company. He was a graduate of Saint Marys High School in Waltham, attended Lowell Institute, and had been a former member of Boston Litho Club. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Merchant Marine. He was the brother of the late Marian Moynihan. He is survived by his wife, Helen M. (Rosenske); his children, Paula Gannon of Waltham, Thomas R. Kane and Robert G. Kane, Jr. both of Watertown; one brother, Lawrence J. Kane of Virginia; his niece, Alex Fletcher of Florida; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many other nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
