Waltham - Mr. Robert K. Leonard, of Waltham, died Monday, October 26, 2009 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 77. Bob was born in Medford on April 29, 1932, a son of the late John and Ruth (Waldron) Leonard, and had lived in West Newton for many years before moving to Waltham in 1990. He was a supervisor for Baxter Hospital Supplies for twenty-five years until his retirement. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed going camping and was also a former member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #1272 in Belmont, The American Legion in Woburn and the Waltham Masons. Bob was a Korean War veteran who served with the United States Army. He leaves his wife, Arlene P. (Goddard) Leonard; six daughters, Lynda M. Barnett of Atlanta, Georgia, Cindy A. McLaughlin and her husband, Paul, of Whitinsville, Julie A. Delicata of Watertown, Robin L. Leonard of Newton, Kim A. Gillis and her husband, Dana, and Meredith A. Leonard all of Waltham; his grandchildren, Ricky, Michelle, Daniel, Steven, Marco, and Michael and six great-grandchildren. Bob was also the father-in-law of the late Paul Delicata. Family and friends will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning where his funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 33 Myrtle Street, Waltham, MA 02453.
