Westford – Mr. Robert P. ‘Muzi’ Mizzoni of Westford, formerly of Waltham, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Lowell General Hospital. He was 47.
A son of Phyllis (Simmons) Mizzoni of Waltham and the late Robert F. Mizzoni, he was born in Somerville on December 10, 1962. He grew up and lived most of his life in Waltham, having moved to Westford four years ago.
Muzi worked as a CNC machinist for many years at C.R. Machine in Billerica. Always willing to help fix anything for anyone, especially his daughters, family and friends, he was affectionately known as ‘Mr. Fix-It’. He also had a passion for car racing, always enjoying his trips to the Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire.
In addition to his mother, he leaves his children, Jessica M. Fedele of Nashua, New Hampshire, Genevieve Fedele of Waltham, Gina M. Mizzoni of Lowell and Johanna R. Trombley of Waltham; his sister, Susan M. Mizzoni of Waltham; his brothers, Glen M. Mizzoni of Waltham and David S. Mizzoni and his wife, Susan, of Westford; his former wife, Mary R. (Fedele) Mizzoni of Waltham; his grandchildren, George Carson, III, John Carson, and Gianna Chalernsouk and his nephews Michael and Nicholas Mizzoni.
Family and friends will honor and remember Muzi’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham.
