Waltham - Mr. Robert F. Mizzoni of Waltham died Monday August 23, 2004 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 67. Born in Somerville, a son of the late Guy and Amelia (DiCicco), he lived in Waltham for more than forty years. He was a co-founder of the Waltham Youth Basketeball Association, and a Past President of the Waltham Babe Ruth League where he coached and managed for thirty years. He was also an active participant with the Waltham Boys and Girls Club Basketball Program and a member of the Waltham Moose. Mr. Mizzoni also served in the U.S. Air Force He is survived by his wife Phyllis (Simmons) Mizzoni; his children Susan Mizzoni, Robert P. Mizzoni, and Glen Mizzoni all of Waltham and David Mizzoni and his wife Susan of Westford; two brothers, Joseph and Richard Mizzoni both of Bedford; his grandchildren, Jessica, Genevieve, Gina, Michael and Nicholas; his great-grandchildren, George and John; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 11 Vanderbilt Avenue, Suite 105, Norwood, MA 02062.
