Waltham – Mr. Robert E. Oldro, of Waltham, died on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 75.
Robert was born in Steamburg, New York on September 5, 1942, the son of Margaret (Bradley) Clinch of Waltham and the late Robert E. Oldro. For many years he worked as an assembler for the Raytheon Company and had most recently worked at Safelite Glass. He was a former member of The Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 1018 in Waltham and enjoyed following and collecting NASCAR memorabilia.
He is survived by his wife, Joan F. (Couture) Shaughnessy; his children, Mark E. Oldro of Dighton, Robert E. Oldro, III of Taunton, John C. Oldro, Debbie A. Sylvia, both of Middleboro and Michael S. Oldro and Tammy Oldro, both of Jamestown, New York; his mother, Margaret (Bradley) Clinch and several grandchildren and step-children.
He was also a brother of the late Patricia Tweedy.
Family and friends will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, February 16th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning when his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
