Robert J. Patterson

Waltham – Mr. Robert J. Patterson, of Waltham, died on Monday September 9th, 2013 in the Maristhill Nursing Home. He was 90.

Bob was born in Waltham on October 21, 1922, a son of the late William and Mary (Walsh) Patterson. Until his retirement he worked for over thirty-five years as an instructor and inspector for the Raytheon Corporation.

He was the husband of the late Dorothy C. (Delaney) Patterson.

He leaves his children, Robert J. Patterson and his wife, Phyllis, of Watertown and Carol A. Wilson of Waltham; his grandchildren, James and Timothy Patterson, William, Sean, Robert and Melinda Wilson, Kimberly Menendez, Paul, Carrieann and Bonnie Chamberlain and Lynnette Cruz; his great-grandchildren, Rachel, Robbie, Tyler, Samantha, Kyle, Caroline, Laura, Yvette, Raphael, Sabrina, Kassandra, Kimberly, Amanda, Daniel and Larissa; his great-great-grandchildren Jason and Aidan and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Irene M. Chamberlain, father-in-law of the late Ronald Wilson and brother of the late Maryellen 'Daisy' Roche, Mary Chiasson, Thelma Douglas and Irene Patterson.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering on Thursday morning, September 12th, at 11 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham where his Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
