Waltham - Mr. Robert L. Preston, of Waltham, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 77. Born in Boston, a son of the late Ira and Kathryn (Strasser) Preston, he was raised and educated in Allston and had lived in Waltham since 1954. He worked for twelve years for Raytheon in Waltham and, until his retirement, he worked for thirty years for General Motors parts division in Westwood as a quality control inspector. Mr. Preston served with the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was the husband of the late Arlene M. (Coleman) Preston, brother of the late Joseph Preston, Jean Eaton and grandfather of the late Chris J. LeBlanc. He leaves his children, Richard E. Preston and his, wife Carol, of East Douglas, John S. Preston, William L. Preston and Patricia M. LeBlanc and her companion, Peter J. Womersley, his longtime companion Barbara Risdon-Adams, all of Waltham; two grandchildren, Lisa A. LeBlanc and Nathan Preston; three great-grandchildren, Anjelica, Robert and Ryan, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial Services on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 12 noon in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham.
