Auburndale – Mr. Robert S. Randolph, of Auburndale, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 85. Bob was born in Newton on May 21, 1923, a son of the late George and Mary (Watkins) Randolph. He was raised and educated in Waltham where he graduated from high school in 1941. After that he joined the United States Navy where he served during World War II as an aviation ordnance man. An Auburndale resident since 1951, he worked as a machinist until his retirement and in his spare time enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He leaves his wife, Alice (Gauthier) Randolph; his children, Sheila Randolph of Newton and Nancy Bezanilla of Waltham; his brother, Donald Randolph of Marlborough; his sister, Carol Bone of Oriskany, New York; his grandchildren, Jared and Kaylie Bezanilla and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his brother, Leroy Randolph. Family and friends will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. before leaving in procession to Corpus Christi Church, 45 Ash Street, Auburndale where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
