Robert L. Sorenson

Waltham – Mr. Robert L. Sorenson, of Waltham, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in Marist Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was 92.

Bob was born March 19, 1926 in Boston a son of the late William and Annie B. (Johnson) Sorenson. Raised and educated in Medford he was a graduate of Medford High School. Upon graduation from high school he entered the Navy and proudly served during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

He owned and operated Bob's Appliance Service for forty-five years retiring in 2000.

He was a member of the Waltham American Legion Joseph F. Hill Post 156 and Medford Post No. 1012 VFW and PFC John M. Sullivan Post 10334 VFW in Waltham. He and his family looked forward to annual trips to York Beach, Maine.

In addition to his wife, Myrtle (Luce) Sorenson who died June 20, 2000 he is predeceased by his only brother, William R. Sorenson

He leaves his sons, Larry Sorenson of Methuen and Ronald Sorenson of Maynard; nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Robert's life by gathering for calling hours on Tuesday, July 10th from 4 to 7 pm. and again on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. before leaving in procession to Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Road, Medford where his graveside service will be held at 11 a.m.
