Waltham - Rodney M. Liversage, M.D., of Waltham, died Friday, November 16, 2007 in the Leland Home in Waltham. He was 83. Born in Fitchburg on February 5, 1924, a son of the late Rodney M. Liversage, Sr. and Hazel M. Liversage (nee Huntting), Dr. Liversage practiced for many years at Saint Elizabeths Medical Center in Brighton. Dr. Liversage graduated from Fitchburg High School, Class of 1942 and attended Cushing Academy during 1947 and 1948. In 1951 he earned a bachelor of science degree from Tufts University and his medical degree from Tufts University Medical School in 1955. He was affiliated with Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Brighton from 1955 to 1989 and had been a longtime member of the Massachusetts Medical Society. During World War II Dr. Liversage served from 1942 to 1946 with the United States Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theatre. Dr. Liversage leaves one brother, Richard A. Liversage and his wife, June P. Liversage (nee Krebs), of Ontario, Canada; his nephews, John W. Liversage, Robert R. Liversage and his wife, Margaret, James K. Liversage and his wife, Rene L., and Ross A. Liversage; three great-nephews and two-great nieces, Evan, Alexander, Korina, Sarah, and Richard. At Dr. Liversages request there will be a private graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Fitchburg.
