Waltham – Mr. Roland J. Cincotta of Waltham died Wednesday, December 3, 2003 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 76. Born in Rollinsford NH, a son of the late Anthony and Mary Gertrude(Howarth) Cincotta, he lived in Waltham for most of his life. Mr. Cincotta was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1945 and until his retirement he worked as a laborer for 30 years for Local No. 560. He was a member of the Waltham Sons of Italy and the Sacred Heart Church Holy Name Society. Mr. Cincotta is survived by his wife, Eileen M. (Burgess) Cincotta; his children, Richard J. Cincotta and his wife, Maryellen, Ronald J. Cincotta and his wife, Kathy, Deborah A. Cincotta and her companion, David Zanco, and Donna M. Scanlon and her husband, Richard, all of Waltham; his grandchildren, Richard Cincotta Jr. Anthony Cincotta, Rosalie Cincotta, Nicole Cincotta, Ronald Cincotta, Jr., Jennifer Cincotta, Joseph Cincotta, Ryan Scanlon, Danielle Scanlon, and Richard Scanlon Jr.; his brothers, James Cincotta of Waltham, Robert Cincotta of Billerica, Michael Cincotta of California, and Wilfred Cincotta; his sisters, Dorothy Fogg and Barbara McCarthy both of Waltham, Gloria Collins and Janice Demeo both of Billerica, Beverly Sullo of Georgia, and Rosemary Dion of Norwood; and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Anthony, Leonard, Joseph, and Kenneth Cincotta. The Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, corner of Newton and River Streets, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 2-8 p.m. Donations in Mr. Cincotta’s memory to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund, 311 River Street, Waltham, MA 02453 or to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 265, Burlington, MA 01803 would be appreciated.
