Mr. Ronald A. Biddy, of Stoneham, formerly of Waltham, died Sunday, April 19, 2009 in Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was 64.
A son of the late Amos and Grace (Ezell) Biddy, Ron was born in Waltham on August 13, 1944 and had been a resident before moving to Stoneham two years ago. He was a service technician for computerized sewing machines at Compo Industries in Waltham for seventeen years. For the past eight years, Ron worked as a facilities manager at Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain.
He was a Waltham High School graduate who loved all New England sports, golf, horseshoes, cribbage, and pinochle.
Ron is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Rel A. (Lincoln) Biddy; his children, Rhonda M. DuBois and her husband, David, of Amherst, New Hampshire, Ronald L. Biddy and his wife, Sharon, of Waltham, Pamela J. Amico and her husband, James, of Stoneham, Donald J. Biddy of Billerica, and Tina M. Cerulo and her husband, Richard, of Chelmsford; his sisters, Rita Bryson of Hudson, Marie Snow and Beverly Gargone both of Waltham; his brother, Donald Biddy of Marlborough, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Christopher Biddy and the brother of the late James Biddy, Edward Biddy, Jean Saigon, Carol Ginero, and Joyce Burkert.
Family and friends will honor and remember Ron’s life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Friday morning at 11 a.m. for his Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
