Mr. Ronald J. Mantey, of Worcester and formerly of Waltham, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center of Worcester. He was 57.
Ron was born in Newton on March 16, 1961, the son of the late Edward and Marie (McIsaac) Mantey. He graduated from Waltham High School with the class of 1980 and for many years he worked at the former Wal-Lex Bowling Alley in Waltham. He loved music, especially The Beatles and Aerosmith and also followed all of the New England sports teams. He loved everyone and cherished spending holidays with his family.
He is survived by his siblings, Edward Mantey (Helen) of Tewksbury, Robert Mantey (Karen) of Waltham and Paul Mantey of Waltham; his dear friends, Mark and Robin of Worcester and also leaves many nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends will honor and remember Ronald's life by gathering on Wednesday, January 30th in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where is Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
