Ronald J. Melanson

Waltham – Mr. Ronald J. Melanson, of Waltham, died on Friday, April 4, 2014 in his home. He was 52.

Ron was born in Waltham on July 4, 1961, a son of Odette M. (Maillet) (Melanson) Richard and the late Roger Melanson. He was a graduate of Farr Academy in Cambridge and had worked most of his life as a carpenter.

Besides his mother he is survived by his step-father, Adrien Richard, of Waltham; his siblings, Robert J. Melanson and his longtime companion, Nadine LeBlanc, of Waltham and Lisa M. (Richard) DiPietro and her husband, Anthony, also of Waltham and his nieces and nephew, Jessica Melanson, Kayla DiPietro and Michael DiPietro.

Family and friends will honor and remember Ron's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday April 11th from 2-4 and 6 - 8 p.m. and again at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
