Rosalie T. Comeau

March 11, 1927 — April 2, 2005

Waltham- Mrs. Rosalie T. (Surette) Comeau of Waltham died Saturday April 2, 2005 at Maristhill Nursing Home. She was 78. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late John C. and Anne (LeBlanc) Surette, she lived in East Boston for many years before moving to Waltham in 1950 where she was a homemaker. She was the wife of the late Louis E. Comeau and sister of the late Josephine Babin, Peter, Roger, Nil, and Hector Surette. She is survived by her three daughters, Celine McLean and her husband James of Waltham, Paulette Queneau of Long Beach, CA; and Odille Hanley and her husband David of Medford, one brother Wilfred Surette of Danvers, five sisters, Hermeline McGowan of Nova Scotia, Canada; Lorraine Caulfield of Clifford Beach, NJ; Phyllis Gaudet of Beverly; Jeanette Gregory of Ipswich; and Odile Surette of Middleton; her grandchildren Jennifer and Weston McLean, Lauren and Buddy Hanley and Ross and Marc Queneau, her sister in law, Pauline Gaudet of Waltham, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday April 5, at 8 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Luke’s Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m.
