Waltham – Mrs. Rose M. (Taranto) Chiacchio died Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Pine Knoll Nursing Center in Lexington. She was 92.
Rose was born November 10, 1925 in Waltham a daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Nancy (Mobilia) Taranto. Raised and educated in Waltham she was a graduate of Waltham High School and later the Katherine Gibbs Business School. She married Alfred N. Chiacchio on October 2, 1949 they were married for 65 years until his death on October 13, 2007.
Rose worked as a secretary for BayBank for many years before retiring.
A simple woman she was always tending to the needs of her family and caring for her home and yard. She would look forward to the many trips to Highland Lake in Stoddard, New Hampshire with her sister, Millie.
In addition to her husband, Alfred she is predeceased by her brother, Angelo 'Sonny' Taranto.
She leaves her children, Robert A. Chiacchio and his wife, Nancy of Waltham and Sandra Lach and her husband, Paul of Framingham; her grandchildren, Lauren DeLeon and her husband, Pedro, Robert J. Chiacchio and his wife, Shannnon and Cory Lach; her great-grandchildren, Anthony T. and Elizabeth R. DeLeon and Katherine Anne and Robert William Chiacchio; her sister, Mildred 'Millie' Nichols of Framingham; her brothers-in-law, Gabriel Chiacchio of Framingham and Richard Chiacchio of Waltham and Boynton Beach, Florida; nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be private.
