Waltham Mrs. Rose M. (Oliveto) Iodice, of Waltham, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 in Meadow Green Nursing Center in Waltham. She was 98. She was born on February 17, 1908 in Watertown, a daughter of the late Francis and Anna (Biccheri) Oliveto. She was the sister of the late Thomas, Francis, and James Oliveto, Rose worked as the housekeeper for over 20 years at Saint Jude Church in Waltham. She had also worked at Sacred Heart Church in Newton Center. While living briefly in Florida, she managed a day care center in Fort Lauderdale. Rose was also a member of Saint Jude Ladies Sodality and the Legion of Mary. Rose will be remembered as a gentle, loving woman whose life centered on her church and her family. She had a flare for interior decorating and floral arranging. She enjoyed maintaining her home and the rectory at Saint Judes. She leaves one daughter, Barbara M. MacLean and her husband, Donald, of Waltham; four grandchildren, Jimmy MacLean and his wife, Patti, of Plattsburgh, New York, Jeannine MacDowell and her husband, Scott, of Marlborough, Jeff MacLean and his wife, Brenda, of Waltham and Jennifer MacLean of Waltham; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Watertown Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Mass from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02453.
