Waltham Miss Rose Mary Squires of Waltham died Sunday, December 26, 2004 at Maristhill Nursing Home, Waltham. She was 90. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Rush) Squires, she was a lifelong resident. Until her retirement, Miss Squires worked for 25 years as the secretary for the Waltham Veterans Services office. Before that, she worked as a clerk for 25 years at Woolworths store on Moody Street in Waltham. A devout Catholic, Miss Squires had been an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary at Saint Marys Church and at Saint Charles Church in Waltham. She leaves her nieces and nephew, Jeanne Reinschmidt of Montana, Patricia Ferro Venini of Waltham, Robert Squires of Maine and Janet Carmier of Florida, her dear friend, Doris Bourgeois of Waltham and many grandnieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Joseph Squires and Rita Ferro and aunt of the late Mary Pineau. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 8 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 9 a.m. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Waltham. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
