Mrs. Rose Marie H. 'Rosie' (Poirier) Pollock, of Weston, died Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Beth Israel Hospital Boston. She was 85.
Rosie was born in Waltham on May 28, 1937, to the late Moses and Anastasia (LeBlanc) Poirier. She was raised in Waltham and was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School.
Following her marriage to Weston native David B. Pollock the couple made Weston their lifelong home. For years Rosie kept the books for her husband’s company, Pollock Brothers Tree Service, while at the same time raising her five children.
She was a longtime parishioner of Saint Julia’s Church in Weston and a member of the Ladies Sodality. When not busy doing other things she loved playing Bridge and other card games with family and friends at home.
Rosie’s husband, Dave, died on July 25, 2020.
She leaves her children, Lori Marino of Peabody, Mark Pollock of Lancaster, Chris Owens of Wayland, John Pollock of Vancouver Island, British Columbia and Stephen Pollock of Mercer Island, Washington; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Pauline Poirier.
Family and friends will honor and remember Rosie’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, February 3rd from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Julia's Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Weston.
