Waltham – Mrs. Rosemary T. (Thomas) Scott, of Waltham, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Epoch of Weston. She was 85.
Rosemary was born in Boston of January 14, 1931, a daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Ryan) Thomas. She was raised in Dorchester where she graduated from Jeremiah Burke High School. She had lived for many years in Watertown before moving to Waltham six years ago.
Until her retirement she worked as an inspector for C&K Components in Newton and before that was a longtime employee of the Polaroid Company in Waltham. She had been a member of VFW Post No. 2152 Auxiliary in Waltham.
Rosemary found her greatest joy spending time with her grandchildren and with her great-grandson. Trips to Nantasket Beach created wonderful memories for her and her family over the years.
She leaves her children, Deborah A. Singleton, John E. Singleton, both of Waltham, Edward M. Sugrue and his wife, Charlene, of Watertown and Tracey M. Sugrue of Framingham; her grandchildren, Meloney Keefe and her husband, James, Stefanie Sugrue, Aimee Sugrue and Brittney Singleton; her great-grandson, Cameron Keefe and several nieces and nephews.
Rosemary was also the sister of Eugene and David Thomas.
Family and friends will honor and remember Rosemary's life by gathering for calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham and will conclude with her funeral service at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
