Waltham Mr. Rudolph V. Bud Giangrande, of Waltham, died Thursday, May 24th, 2007 at Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge. He was 71. Born in Boston, a son of Sadie (Rabita) Giangrande of Cambridge and the late Pasquale Giangrande, Bud lived in Medford before moving to Waltham forty-eight years ago. Bud graduated from Medford High School in 1954 and served for three years with the United States Army during the Korean War. After that, he earned a research engineering degree from Northeastern University in Boston. He worked for many years for the Raytheon Corporation and the United States Army Materials Research Labs in Watertown. Bud also worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and for the United States Department of Transportation until his retirement as a program engineer. He was the devoted husband and partner of forty-eight years to Jacqueline R. (Kinch) Giangrande and leaves his children, Mark Giangrande and his wife, Paula, of Marlboro, Gregg Giangrande and his wife, Monica, of Austin, Texas, Stephen Giangrande of Seattle, Washington, Karen Harris and her husband, Donald, of Colbert, Washington and Susan Wilson and her husband, William, of Foxboro; his grandchildren, Jayme, Bailee, Michael, Jake and Caitlyn Giangrande, Kateysue and Emily Harris, and Derek and Mark Wilson; one sister, Leonora Goodman and her husband, George, of Florida, his sister-in-law, Dorothy Tuscelli and her husband, George, of Billerica and many loving nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held, Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street ( Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
