Weston - Mrs. Ruth I. (Sketchley) Chandler died Tuesday February 28, 2006 in her home. She was 74. Born in Haverhill, a daughter of the late Harry and Hermenia (Crossley) Sketchley she had lived in Weston for the past 33 years. Until her retirement, she worked for Technical Services at the Acton Memorial Library for thirty years. Mrs. Chandler was an avid Red Sox Fan and enjoyed singing in choral groups and had been active in many church activities. She was the sister of the late Robert Sketchley. She leaves her husband, Hugh W. Chandler; two sons, Jay Chandler and his wife, Kathy Wrean of Wayland and Scott Chandler and his wife, Nancy of North Andover; one brother, John Sketchley and his wife, Betty of Lynn; and she was the proud grammie of Nathan, Jenna, Michele, Margaret, Corey, Mariel, Jason. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Saint Peter's Episcopal Church, 320 Boston Post Road, Weston. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Weston. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte 20), Waltham.
