Waltham Mrs. Ruth M. (Bates) Fagan of Waltham died Friday, September 10, 2004 at Epoch of Weston. She was 80. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late James H. and Ellen L. (Mitchell) Bates, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Fagan graduated from Saint Marys High School in Waltham in 1941. Until her retirement she worked as a data entry supervisor for the CCS Companies of Newton and before that worked for many years at the Raytheon Company. She leaves her husband, William F. Frank Fagan; three children, Jean M. Freedman of Waltham, Janet M. Frye of Milford and James F. Fagan of Waltham; three grandchildren, Kenneth Freedman and Ellen and Laura Frye; her great-grandson, Brian Freedman and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Thomas, John, Leonard and James Bates. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Graveside Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 15 in Holyhood Cemetery, Heath Street, Brookline. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham.
