Ruth M. Little

Waltham - Mrs. Ruth M. (Collett) Little, of Waltham, died Thursday, November 12, 2009 in Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. She was 82. A lifelong Waltham resident, Ruth was born on December 17, 1926, a daughter of the late William M. and Eva E. (Connolly) Collett. Ruth was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Waltham. She loved old movies, the Boston Red Sox, and was an avid collector of postcards from all over the world. Ruth leaves her husband of more than fifty-seven years, Robert A. Little; her brothers, William Collett and Norman Collett, both of Waltham, her sister, Irene Christophel of St. Louis, Missouri and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Paul Collett, Mary Perroni, and Peter Collett. Family and friends will honor and remember Ruth's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
