Mr. Salomón L. Meza, of Marlborough, sadly passed away Tuesday, October 26th, 2021 in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 61.
Salomón was born on July 30th, 1960 in Lima, Perú; the first born of six children of the late Leopoldo Iván Onofrio Meza Ojeda and María Luisa Quispe (Challco) Meza. Raised and educated in Perú he graduated from Liceo Naval Teniente Clavero high school class of 1978 then earned his certificate and degree in Automotive Mechanics at Higher Technological Institute of Gamor in Lima. He immigrated to the United States on July 28th, 1995.
After many years of never-ending love and happiness he married the love of his life, Lucía Vara on February 13th, 1995 in Callao, Lima-Perú.
Whenever he wasn't working Salomón enjoyed spending time gathering with the family at home and cherished the moments together with his loved ones. He touched the lives of people around him in such a caring, special way it left a positive mark in their lives.
He leaves his wife, Lucía Vara-Meza; his sons, Raúl A. Manrique (Annie Joniaux) of Waltham and Ronald M. Manrique (Angie Manrique); his grandsons, Jonathan A. Manrique, Angelo and Christian Sánchez, all of Marlborough; siblings, Pedro David, Samuel Ángel, Josué Elías, Ana Pilar and Caleb Santiago Meza, all of Lima-Perú; nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Salomón's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, November 1st from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
