Sam Eldridge

Mr. Sam Eldridge, Jr. of Northborough died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in the Sterling Village Nursing Center in Sterling. He was 87.
Mr. Eldridge was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on April 14, 1926, a son of the late Sam and Zola (Seabaugh) Eldridge.
He was employed as a mechanic until his retirement at the age of 65. Sam was a World War Two veteran who served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Frances A. (Vanaria) Eldridge; his children, Joseph R. Eldridge and his wife, Sue, of Billerica, Linda L. Schafer and her husband, Larry, of Northborough, Donna M. Vautour and her husband, Paul, of Waltham Karen M. Burke and her husband, Walter, of Cumberland RI, and Judith G. Penzone and her huband, John, of Northborough; his grandchildren, Gina Eldridge, Joey Eldridge, Jenn Silva, Jeffery Vautour, Damian Burke, Adam Burke, Ryan Burke, Michael Burke, Sean Penzone, Samantha Penzone, and Glenn Penzone; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Julia, Max, Isabelle, and Amanda; and his sister, Joanne Poole and her husband, Bill, of Benton, Arkansas.
Sam was also the grandfather of the late Kimberly Schafer.
Funeral Services were private.
