Mr. Samuel Aguilar-Esquivel, of Waltham, died on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 74.

Samuel was born on February 16, 1947 in El Progreso, Jutiapa, Guatemala a son of the late Juan Pablo Aguilar and Francesca (Esquivel) Aguilar. Raised and educated in Guatemala he immigrated to the United States in 1984 settling in Waltham.

On May 5, 1995 Samuel married his loving wife and together they built a beautiful life. They raised their only daughter in the Lakeview area of North Waltham. He is most known for his love of fishing, and his invitations to anyone who would come along with him.

Samuel worked at Barry Controls, an engineering and manufacturing company, for over two decades. Upon his retirement, he spent the last years of his life building lifelong friendships at Neillios in Lexington, Ma.

Samuel enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved hosting all kinds of family parties in the back yard of his home. He was a great host and even better cook. There was a never birthday party without his famous, flan.
