Santino J. Alessandro

Waltham - Mr. Santino J. Alessandro, of Waltham, died Wednesday March 7, 2007 at Kindred Hospital Northeast, in Waltham. He was 88. Born and raised in Waltham, a son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Cocivera) Alessandro, Santino worked for several years as a machinist for Swisstronics, Inc. of Watertown. He was also a former member of the Waltham Auxilary Police Department. Santino was the brother of the late Basil Alessandro, Carl Alessandro, and Dala Skelly. He leaves his wife, Leona M. (Belliveau) Alesssandro; two sons, Joseph J. Alessandro and his wife, Marie, of Waltham and Robert E. Alessandro of Maynard and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
