Waltham – Mrs. Sarah M. ‘Sally’ (McInnis) Lawler, of Waltham, died Monday, January 8, 2007 at Maristhill Nursing Home. She was 96. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Lyons) McInnis, Sally had been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Saint Charles High School in Waltham in 1929. Until her retirement, Sally worked as a quality control inspector for the J.L. Thomson Company in Waltham and before that, she worked at the Waltham Watch Factory. She had been a member of the South Side Senior Citizens Club. The wife of the late Charles F. Lawler, she leaves her childen, Barbara A. Yorston of Venice, Florida and Janice M. Brown of West Yarmouth; her grandchildren, David Yorston, Kathleen Newton, both of Hudson, Laurie Harrington, Colleen ‘Gidget’ Brown, both of Franklin, Shannon Burke of Marlboro, Steven Brown of Watertown and Robbie Brown of Maynard; 13 great-grandchildren and four nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in The Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Maristhill Patient Activities Fund, 66 Newton Street, Waltham, MA 02453.
