Northville, MI - Mrs. Sarah Jean 'Sally' Craig Robinson, of Northville, formerly of Waltham, died Friday, January 8, 2010 at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Northville from complications due to Alzheimer's disease. She was 76. Sally was born on April 27, 1933 in Millinocket, Maine, the daughter of the late I. Caswell and Stella (Cimpher) Craig. She graduated from Stearns High School in Millinocket, received a degree in Nursing from the University of Maine in 1955 and a Masters degree from Boston College in 1970. The same year she wed Robert A. Robinson. Sally lived in Waltham for her entire adult life and was a proud member of Trinity Church (formerly The First Congregational Church of Waltham) and the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked for more than 20 years at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston as a nursing instructor and was instrumental in training several generations of the area's finest nurses. Following her career at Mass. General she continued as a nursing instructor at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford and took great pride in ensuring that veterans received the best possible care. She is survived by her nephews Bob, Ron and Russell Craig; her niece Dianne Craig, many friends and acquaintances and the nieces and nephews she 'adopted' from the West Point Class of 1982. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Frank C. Craig, and her husband Rob. Family and friends will honor and remember Sally's life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning in Trinity Church, 730 Main Street, Waltham where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. The Rev. J. Howard Cepelak will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
