Shirley T. Latorre

Wayland - Mrs. Shirley T. (Frenette) Latorre, of Wayland, formerly of Waltham, died Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 81. Born in Waltham, Shirley had lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Wayland in 1983. She was a homemaker and was also a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Waltham. Shirley was the sister of the late Harold Frenette, Irene Frenette, and Barbara Mongeon. She leaves her husband of fifty-eight years, Edward A. Latorre; her children, Steven E. Latorre and his partner, Stephanie, of Amherst, Jan M. Latorre-Stiller and her husband, Mel, of Waltham, Edward M. Latorre and his wife, Jackie, of Boca Raton, Florida and Carol A. Latorre of Needham; one brother, Joseph Frenette of Georgia; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
