Waltham – Mr. Sieh-Chang Kuo, of Waltham, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. He was 92.
Sieh-Chang was born in China on November 1, 1922 and lived in Taiwan before moving to the United States in 1984. He lived for a number of years in Acton before moving to Waltham fifteen years ago.
He earned a degree in mathematics in China and a master's degree in the same subject from the University of Houston. He was a mathematics professor until his retirement.
He leaves his wife, Chi-Tung Kuo; his children, Qi-Hua Kuo and her husband, Yuan-Kuan Lu of Hudson, Hsiao-Hua Burke and her husband, William, of Acton, Li-Hua Wong and her husband, Tit-Yee Wong, of Memphis, Tennessee, Pao-Hua Kuo and her husband, Erik Ordentlich, of San Jose, California and Jung-Hua Kuo and her husband, Jeff McDow, of Los Altos, California; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will honor and remember Sieh-Chang's life by gathering at his funeral service at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 16th in The Joyce Funeral Home. 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham.
