Waltham – Mr. Stanley J. Chiasson, of Waltham, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at his home. He was 91.
Stanley was born in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia on July 20, 1922, a son of the late Felix and Lucie Chiasson. A Waltham resident for the past fifty-seven years he worked for Richard White Sons Construction Company in Auburndale until his retirement.
He was a communicant of Saint Joseph's Church in Waltham and later became a member of Sacred Heart Parish. Stanley had been a member of the French-American Victory Club and the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 1018, both in Waltham.
Stanley's wife of sixty-two years, M. Rita (Boudreau) Chiasson, died August 26, 2010.
He leaves his children, Regina LeBlanc and her husband, Roger, of Sudbury and Bernard Chiasson and his wife, Debbie, of Waltham; his sister, Leona Soutar of Thunder Bay, Ontario; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Stanley was also the brother of the late Thelma Chiasson.
Family and friends will honor and remember Stanley's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, July 30th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
