Edgewater, Fla. - Mr. Stanley C. Penton Jr., of Edgewater, Florida, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Clark House at Fox Hill Village in Westwood. He was 75. Born in Boston, Mr. Penton was a machinist for many years at Northeast Lab Machine Company in Waltham. He was a lifelong resident of Waltham before moving to Edgewater nine years ago. He was an avid fisherman and boater, and was a former hockey and baseball coach in Waltham for various teams. During the Korean War he served with the United States Army. He leaves his wife, Patricia A. (Rowley) Penton, his children, Pam J. Penton of Framingham, William R. Penton and his wife, Elizabeth, Charles R. Penton and his wife, Patricia, all of Waltham, and his grandchildren, Luke, Cody, Max, Kyle, and Chandra. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Brighton. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Greater Waltham Association for Retarded Citizens, 56 Chestnut Street, Waltham, MA 02453-4033.
