Waltham - Mr. Stephen J. Delaney, Of Waltham, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He was 48. Stephen was born in Madawaska, Maine on May 20, 1961 a son of Romeo 'Ray' Delaney and the late Gemma (Marquis) Delaney and had lived in Waltham all his life. He graduated from Waltham High School, class of 1979 and Wentworth Institute of Technology. Stephen was a Mechanical Engineer for over 17 years at Boston Scientific Co. in Watertown. He was a communicant of Saint Charles Borromeo Church and was an avid Red Sox fan and New England Patriots enthusiast. In addition to his father, Romeo 'Ray' Delaney of Waltham, he leaves his siblings, Debra L. Sama and her husband, Bill of Mequon, Wisconsin, David P. Delaney of Dracut, Phyllis E. Keirstead of Waltham, Paul J. Delaney and his wife, Laurie, of Hollis, New Hampshire, Philip J. Delaney and his wife, Amy, of Canton and Susan M. LeRoux and her husband, Mark, of Nashua, New Hampshire; his girlfriend, Glenna Gelineau of Waltham; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor and remember Stephen's life by gathering to visit in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, September 23rd, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
