North Chelmsford – Mr. Stephen J. Lembo, of North Chelmsford, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in his home. He was 70.

Stephen was born in Waltham on August 26, 1946, a son of the late Joseph E. and Dorothy M. (Delaney) Lembo. During the Vietnam War he served with the United States Marine Corps where among other decorations he was awarded a Purple Heart for wounds received in battle.

He had lived in Billerica for many years before moving to North Chelmsford six years ago.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Karen A. (Doherty) Mahoney; his children, Patrick Mahoney of Lowell, Trisha Riccardi of Woburn and Carlie Lembo of North Billerica; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Sandra J. Farrell.

Family and friends will honor and remember Stephen's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, September 18th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Committal services will follow in Calvary Cemetery Chapel, Waltham.
