Mr. Steven G. Bernstein, of Waltham, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2020 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 51.
Steven was born on August 17, 1968 in Lynn a son of the late Gerald and Ruth M. (Thomas) Bernstein. A graduate of Lynn High School he later worked as a taxi driver for Marcou Transportation and most recently in delivery for P.C.F. Corporation (Publishers Circulation Fulfillment, Inc.) which distributes newspapers in the greater Boston area. Steven married Waltham native Marie R. Davenport on January 26, 2006.
He loved exploring with computers, time at Hampton Beach and his annual pilgrimage to the Topsfield Auto Show. A lover of music he was a fan of Metallica, Motley Crew, Van Halen and Bon Jovi. He was known to try his luck with a scratch ticket or two and looked forward to an excursion to Mohegan Sun.
In addition to his loving and devoted wife, Marie he leaves his sister, Karen Bernstein of Boston; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends will honor and remember Steven's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, March 6th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday where his Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial is private.
