Milford – Mr. Steven J. Wilson, of Milford, died Thursday, August 19, 2020 following a brief illness. He was 70.
Steve was born in Waltham on February 17, 1950, a son of the late Frederick and Dora (Jones) Wilson, and had lived in Waltham before moving to Milford in 1992. He worked for more than thirty-five years as a production manager for WalChem-Iwaki America, a chemical pump manufacturer in Holliston.
On July 5, 1969 he married Waltham native Joanne (Bellan) Wilson and the couple enjoyed fifty years of marriage before her passing last July. Steve and Joanne were constant companions and loved nothing more than spending time with family, especially their twelve grandchildren.
Steve liked life's simple pleasures . . . games of horseshoes, cribbage or darts, deep sea fishing and occasional trips to the casino. His word was his bond and he worked hard every day supporting his family.
He leaves his children, Steven J. Wilson, Jr. (Gloryann) of Whitinsville, Rocky Wilson (Gorete) of Milford, Linda M. Camilli (Leo) of Mendon, Fred Wilson (Wendy) of Pelham, New Hampshire and Michael S. Wilson (Julie) of North Attleboro; his grandchildren, Scott, Jayden, Lexi, Sofia, Isabella and Liliana Wilson, Brianna and Leo Camilli, Jr., Lucas, Payton, A.J. and Andrew Wilson; his sister, Judith Farrar of Maine and several nieces, nephews and their families.
Steve was also a brother of the late Frederick, Robert, Richard, Ronald, William and John Wilson and Alice Perry.
Family and friends will honor and remember Steve's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, August 26th from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be private.
