Susan J. Marchak

Ms. Susan J. Marchak, of West Newton, died, Sunday, February 11, 2024 in Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 77. 

Susan was born May 31, 1946 in Hartford, Connecticut a daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Bonitski) Marchak. Raised in West Hartford she graduated from Mount Saint Joseph Academy and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University.  

Early in her career she was an elementary school teacher in California. While living in Boston she operated a small cheese and wine catering business.  Susan had an artistic flair evident in her fashion sense her entire life and also her love for music.  She retired from the State of Massachusetts as an administrative assistant.  

She leaves her sisters, Nancy J. Marchak of Clarence, New York and Shirley Bergeron of Scotland, Connecticut; her niece Dawn Schregel of Amherst, New York and nephew, Bradford Woollacott of Clarence, New York; great-nieces & nephews, Derek and Jeremy, Johnathan, Brandon and Madison.

Funeral services will be private.
