Susan F. Sleivis

Waltham – Mrs. Susan F. (Savilonis) Sleivis of Waltham died Friday, December 5, 2003 at Maristhill Nursing Home, Waltham. She was 92. Born in Needham, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Januska) Savilonis, she lived in Waltham for more than 50 years. Until her retirement, she worked as a stitcher at Boston Knit Company and later at Carter’s Clothing in Needham. She was also a volunteer for many years at Maristhill Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Anthony Sleivis and a sister of the late Barney, Victor and Kathryn Savilonis, Sophie Aleska and Isabelle Buitta and leaves several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. The Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the Mass from 9 to 9:30 a.m.
