Susana (Vara) Chirinos

Waltham – Mrs. Susana (Vara) Chirinos, of Waltham, died Saturday, December 17, 2016 at her home. She was 76.

Susana was born in Lima, Peru on September 18, 1940, a daughter of the late Mariano Vara Molina and Eusebia Billota and immigrated to the United States more than fifty years ago.

Until her retirement Susana worked in the quality control department for Polaroid in Waltham.

She leaves her daughter, Mercedes S. Fragale and her husband, Antonio "Tony", of Sudbury; her grandchildren, Marisa, Bianca and Antonio Fragale and her sisters and brothers, Teodocia Miranda, Oscar Vara Billota, Guillermina Vara Billota, Gustavo Vara Billota, Marcos Vara Billota and Lucia Meza.

Susana was also a sister of the late Ana Maria Vara Billota.

Family and friends will honor and remember Susana's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, December 20th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
