Suzanne E. Wells

Waltham – Mrs. Suzanne E. (Alloncle) Wells, of Waltham, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Belmont Manor Nursing Center. She was 88.

Suzanne was born in France on June 28, 1922, a daughter of the late Eugene and Eugenie (Gavalet) Alloncle and had lived in Waltham for many years. She was as a bookkeeper for John Hancock Life Insurance Company until her retirement.

Suzanne was a former member of the North Waltham Senior Citizen Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the PFC John M. Sullivan USMC VFW Post No. 10334 in Waltham. She had also been a longtime parishioner of Saint Joseph’s Church in Waltham.

She was the wife of the late Harold F. Wells and a sister of Gaston Alloncle and Eugenie Dupuis. Suzanne also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends will honor and remember Suzanne’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Wednesday January 19th from 2 to 4 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
