Teresa B. (Burns) LeBlanc, of Waltham, died Friday, March 7, 2025 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 77.
She was born in Cheltenham, England on August 10, 1947, a daughter of the late Irish natives James and Bridget (Rohan) Burns. As a child she moved with her family to the United States where they settled in Waltham.
Teresa was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School in Waltham and worked for years as a loan officer at Beneficial Finance Company on Moody Street. She was also a longtime member of the Joseph F. Hill American Legion Post No. 156 Auxiliary where she made many lifelong friends.
The wife of the late Paul E. LeBlanc, she leaves her sister and brother, Kathleen Harvey of Waltham and Kevin Burns of Searsmont, Maine; her niece and nephews, Lisa DePalma of Newton, Anthony Gigliotti of Medfield and James Burns of Searsmont, Maine and her grandnephew and grandnieces, Anthony ‘Trey” DePalma, III, Angelina DePalma, Brenna Gigliotti and Marissa”Emi” Gigliotti.
Family and friends will honor and remember Teresa's life by gathering for an Evening Wake on Wednesday, March 12th from 4 to 7 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham and again at 12 Noon on Thursday when her funeral service will be held. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
