Malden – Mrs. Thérēse (Dely) Carrenard, of Malden, died Saturday, July 11, 2015 in her home. She was 83.
Thérēse was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on February 9, 1932, a daughter of the late Alogene and Cherisna Dely. She immigrated to the United States in the mid-1960s and had lived in Marlborough before moving to Malden six years ago.
Until her retirement she worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Walter E. Fernald School in Waltham for many years. Thérēse was a member of Eglise Baptiste Eben- Ezer in Winchester.
The wife of the late Antoine Carrenard, she leaves her step-daughter, Myriame Jolicoeur of Florida; her sisters and brothers, Christiana Rosenberg of Lowell, Pastor Etienne Dely of Haiti, Anise Lapaix of Malden, Pastor Aurel Dely of Waltham and Elmina McCullough of Nashua New Hampshire and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
She was also a sister of the late Germaine Jacques, Alena Dely, Xavier Dely, Philogene Dely and Olande FanFan.
Family and friends will honor and remember Thérēse's life by gathering for calling hours in The First Baptist Church of Winchester, 90 Mount Vernon Street, Winchester on Friday, July 24th from 6 to 9 p.m. and again at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning when her funeral service will be held. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
