Theda M. O'Neil

Buford, Georgia - Mrs. Theda M. (Knox) O’Neil of Buford, Georgia, formerly of Newton, a resident of Brookside Assisted Living for the past four years, passed away Friday February 3, 2006 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. She was 91. Born in Raymond, New Hampshire, a daughter of the late Walter and Etta Knox, Theda was a homemaker who had lived in Newton for 50 years before moving to Georgia. She was the wife of the late George J. O’Neil, mother of the late Walter J. O’Neil and sister of the late Doris Lawton. She leaves one son, William J. O’Neil and his wife, Martha of Buford, Georgia; two grandchildren, Elizabeth O’Neil of Peabody and Walter O’Neil of Lynn; and one great-grandson, Drew O’Neil. The Funeral will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Bernard’s Church, 1529 Washington Street, Newton at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
