Theresa M. (Despres) Bennett

Waltham – Mrs. Theresa M. (Despres) Bennett, of Waltham, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 in Meadow Green Nursing Home, Waltham. She was 86.

A lifelong Waltham resident, Theresa was born on October 27, 1928, a daughter of the late Ernest and Delia (Maillet) Despres. She was a lifelong member of Saint Joseph's Parish in Waltham where she was a member of the Women's Guild.

Until her retirement she had worked for many years at BayBank in Waltham.

The wife of the late Walter A. "Rusty" Bennett, she leaves her children, Scott R. Bennett and his partner, Kenneth Hanrahan, of Watertown, Donald J. Bennett and Kathleen M. Bennett both of Waltham; her sisters, Janice Richardson and her husband, Walter, of Marlborough and Lorraine Antonevich of York Beach, Maine; her sister-in-law, Sandra Kelley and her husband, Paul, of Framingham and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Theresa's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, July 7th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
