Theresa C. DeLuca

Hingham – Miss Theresa C. DeLuca, of Hingham, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 89.

Theresa was born in Boston on December 11, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rafaela (Chirchiolo) DeLuca and was raised in Revere and in Chelsea. She was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Brighton.

Before moving to Hingham five years ago Theresa lived in Woburn and in Needham for a number of years. Until her retirement she worked as an advisor at Verizon and before that as a telephone operator for the New England Telephone Company.

She leaves her sister, Carmella A. DeLuca of Hingham.

Theresa was also a sister of the late Ann M., Mario, Anthony and Joseph DeLuca.

Family and friends will honor and remember Theresa's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday morning, February 27th from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
