Waltham – Mrs. Theresa M. (Duquette) Lupien, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Brittany Pointe Estates in Lansdale.
Theresa was born in Boston, a daughter of the late Delphus and Rosella (DesRoche) Duquette, and was raised and educated in Cambridge. She was a graduate of Saint Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing in Brighton and later earned her bachelor's degree from New England College.
A Waltham resident since 1955 she worked as a registered nurse at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton and as a school nurse for the Waltham Public Schools until her retirement in 1987. She had been a longtime member of Saint Mary's Parish in Waltham and the North Waltham Seniors. She also belonged to the Saint Elizabeth's Alumni Association.
Theresa was the wife of the late George Lemay and the late George W. Lupien and leaves her children, Dr. Richard G. Lemay and his wife, Carol, of Saco, Maine, and Judi A. Lusk and her husband, Ron, of Wyncote, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Marie and Eric Lemay; her sisters, Lorena Fitzgerald and Marie Murphy, both of Franklin and several nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Rev. Delphus Duquette and Vincent J. Duquette.
Family and friends will honor and remember Theresa's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Thursday, December 12th, from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
